The requirements for fingerprint recognition in government applications are entirely different from those in consumer electronics.

Access control systems, police terminals, classified equipment, office access—every aspect involves security and access rights. For ordinary fingerprint recognition, simply identifying the ridges is sufficient, but this is not the case in government applications—you must ensure that the finger placed on the scanner is a live one, not a silicone replica.

This is why an increasing number of government projects specifically ask during the bidding process: “Has it been certified by the Ministry of Public Security?”

Xinqihang’s live fingerprint recognition products have obtained all three major certifications from the Ministry of Public Security: algorithm certification, fingerprint scanner certification, and live detection certification. Additionally, they have passed the U.S. PBI-PIV certification and Microsoft certification.

What does this mean? It means that every step—from the algorithm to the hardware to liveness detection—has been verified by national-level testing authorities.

The core technology is a glass-based chip. Leveraging the light-transmitting properties of glass, we’ve integrated an infrared emission and reception system. When a finger is placed on the sensor, infrared light illuminates it. The reflective characteristics of human skin and silicone are completely different—fakes can be spotted instantly.

When applied to government scenarios, the results are clear:

It can recognize both dry and wet fingers, as well as cracked or dirty ones.

Even for elderly users with shallow or severely worn fingerprints, recognition rates remain stable.

With a lifespan of over 1 million presses, the device will operate flawlessly for a decade.

For government procurement, security is the first line of defense. When choosing a fingerprint recognition provider, you should at least check whether they hold those three certificates from the Ministry of Public Security.
