Anyone in the terminal product business knows that choosing a large-screen touch chip is a technical task.
On the spec sheet, they all look similar. But once installed in a device and used in real-world scenarios, the differences emerge. Especially in outdoor equipment, industrial control, and kitchen appliances—choosing the wrong chip can eat a huge chunk of your profits in after-sales costs.
So how do you choose a large-screen touch chip? Three indicators are critical.
First, waterproof capability.
Ordinary capacitive touch screens go haywire when they encounter water. Water droplets on the screen interfere with capacitive sensing, causing touch drift, false triggers, or even complete failure. This is a physical-level problem that cannot be solved by screen protectors or algorithm compensation.
Chipsailing starts from the chip's underlying design and integrates multiple noise reduction solutions, optimizing layer by layer from signal acquisition and circuit architecture to algorithm processing. The final result: the entire screen can be immersed in water, and touch remains precise, smooth, and drift-free.
This is not ideal lab data—it is a capability already verified in scenarios such as parcel lockers, charging stations, and outdoor vending machines.
Second, size coverage.
Different terminal products have vastly different screen sizes. A parcel locker might be a dozen inches, while a conference tablet could be 80 or 90 inches. If every size change requires re-selection and re-debugging, the development cycle becomes painfully long.
Chipsailing's large-screen touch chip achieves full-size coverage from 10 to 110 inches. From small industrial screens to large conference tablets, one solution adapts to multiple product lines. With core algorithms independently developed and a modular design, the development cycle is shortened by 50% compared to imported chips.
Third, anti-interference capability.
Industrial control scenarios have strong electromagnetic interference. Kitchen equipment faces oil stains and wet hands. Outdoor equipment endures temperature fluctuations. These environments demand extremely high stability from touch chips.
Chipsailing adopts 20V/30V high-voltage driving to effectively improve anti-interference capability. With a maximum report rate of 200Hz and touch accuracy below 1mm, it accurately recognizes dry and wet fingers as well as gloved operation. It maintains stable touch performance even under harsh conditions such as strong electromagnetic fields, oil stains, and gloves.
Performance comparable to imported chips, with a price advantage
In the past, the large-screen touch chip market was long dominated by imported and Taiwanese companies. Imported solutions were expensive, had long lead times, and responded slowly to customization needs.
Chipsailing's first-generation large-screen touch chip, independently developed, is already comparable to imported solutions in performance, and has even surpassed them in key indicators such as waterproofing and anti-interference. In terms of price, we are more competitive.
Currently, only a very few companies in China can independently develop and mass-produce large-screen touch chips, and Chipsailing is one of them.
Regarding future products, the second-generation chip is under development, with better performance and further optimized cost. On the domestic large-screen touch track, Chipsailing's rhythm is clear: not relying on price wars, but on technological strength.
At present, Chipsailing's large-screen touch chip has penetrated three major fields: retail consumption, smart devices, and conference & education. It covers more than 20 segmented scenarios, including cash registers, self-service vending machines, medical equipment, conference whiteboards, and smart mobile displays.
