In the chip industry, choosing what to do is often more important than how to do it.
Chipsailing has chosen two directions: glass-based fingerprint recognition chips and large-screen touch chips. One safeguards identity security, the other connects human-machine interaction. Neither path is easy.
Fingerprint Chips: Replacing Silicon with Glass
Fingerprint recognition is nothing new, but Chipsailing has taken a different path—replacing traditional silicon with glass.
This choice has made Chipsailing one of the few companies globally to achieve mass production of glass-based fingerprint chips. Glass offers far greater hardness and wear resistance than silicon, with a press lifespan of 3 million cycles—30 times that of ordinary silicon solutions. Glass also has low dielectric loss, delivering cleaner signals and a recognition rate of over 95% for dry/wet fingers and shallow fingerprints.
More importantly, glass is light-transmitting. This enables infrared life-sign detection—the chip emits infrared light that penetrates the skin and detects blood flow signals beneath. Fake fingerprints made of silicone or gel lack this signal, and the device rejects them immediately.
From local service windows to border checkpoints, from bank counters to newborn delivery rooms, Chipsailing's glass-based fingerprint chips are providing reliable support for an increasing number of identity verification scenarios. The product has passed GA/T 1011 certification from China's Ministry of Public Security and FBI FAP60 certification, with a press lifespan of 3 million cycles, Type-C direct connection to mobile phones, and a lightweight, flexible design.
Touch Chips: Making Screens Waterproof
The other track is large-screen touch chips.
In the 10–110 inch large-screen touch market, imported and Taiwanese companies have long dominated. Chipsailing's strategy is pragmatic: first match imported solutions, then surpass them in certain metrics.
Waterproofing is one area where we have taken the lead.
Ordinary capacitive touch screens go haywire when they encounter water. Chipsailing redesigned from the chip's underlying architecture, integrating multiple noise reduction solutions and optimizing layer by layer from signal acquisition and circuit design to algorithm processing. The result: the entire screen can be immersed in water, and touch remains precise, smooth, and drift-free.
Full-size coverage from 10 to 110 inches, 200Hz report rate, touch accuracy below 1mm, and recognition of dry/wet fingers and gloved operation. From parcel lockers to charging stations, from smart mobile displays to industrial control screens, Chipsailing's touch chips are making "fear of water" a thing of the past.
Two Paths, One Logic
Fingerprint chips and touch chips may seem like two different product lines. But the underlying logic is the same: drive innovation in materials, design, and algorithms—never just follow.
Replacing silicon with glass is a breakthrough at the material level. Waterproof touch is a breakthrough in chip architecture and algorithms. These innovations are not easy, but Chipsailing has chosen a harder path.
Headquartered in Shenzhen, Chipsailing's fingerprint products have been exported to multiple countries and regions, while its touch chips are gradually entering more than 20 segmented scenarios across retail, smart devices, and conference & education.
